Reports in today’s Sunday People are suggesting that Liverpool will use on loan to Napoli goalkeeper Pepe Reina as a way to get a good deal for Swiss midfield duo Gokhan Inler and Valon Behrami.
The Merseyside club thinks by offering the £6.5 million rated Reina to Napoli they will then not only be in the Italians good books, but will be able to sign the two players for around £15 million.
As far as we are concerned here at Soccer Transfers we do not put too much value in this story apart from the fact that Reina at Napoli could become a done deal.
Liverpool will almost certainly be in the market for a midfielder and would be better off taking a look at Dutch international Georginio Wijnaldum of PSV Eindhoven who given his statistics would prove a much better buy.
