Liverpool to make a move for Costa Rican international

With on loan goalkeeper Pepe Reina not returning to Liverpool from his spell in Napoli and back up keeper Brad Jones not considered competition enough for Simon Mignolet Liverpool hopes to sign Levante goalkeeper Keylor Navas according to the Daily Star.

Costa Rican international Navas is set to play against England in their Group match of this summer’s World Cup, and is considered to be one of the best shot stoppers in Spain’s La Liga.

Valencia side Levante has been adamant in saying that Navas is not for sale, but with an £8 million buyout clause in his contract they may be helpless when Liverpool comes knocking.

Navas has made 50 appearances for Costa Rica, and has been called the best goalkeeper playing in Spain by Levante president Quico Catalan.
