According to reports coming out of France Liverpool is to enter the transfer market with a bid for inform Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette.

The Reds were linked earlier in the transfer window with the French international, but talk died down with all assuming Liverpool would play out the season with the players they already had after having spent so big during the summer following the departure of Luis Suarez.

According to French outlet Le10Sport Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is now ready to put in an offer for the 23-year-old who has an amazing record this season of scoring 23 goals in as many games.

Meanwhile French champions Paris Saint-Germain are also keeping a close watch on events, and may be ready to make a bid of their own which would drive the price up.

Rodgers seems determined to add to his strike force as Liverpool continues to quietly move up the Premiership table.
