The back pages of today’s British broadsheets all contain the news that former Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp has signed a three-year deal at Liverpool, and that the club could make an announcement as early as today to that effect.

The general view from most Liverpool fans is that the 48-year-old German is the perfect fit for the current Liverpool team, and that he could be just the man to get the most from the players, as he proved while at the Westfalenstadion where he won two Bundesliga league titles, two German Supercups and one German Cup, while also taking Dortmund to a Champions League final in 2012.

The only sticking point from what we understand was him having to deal with Liverpool’s transfer committee, but apparently the clubs owners have said that he can have the last say on any player who is to join the club which was one of his few demands.

Klopp should now be in charge of the Reds before they head to London to play Tottenham at White Hart Lane on the 17th of October.
