Liverpool has joined Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the race to sign Sevilla striker Carlos Bacca.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is eager for a team that can score more goals next season after having watched Mario Balotelli, Rickie Lambert and Fabio Borini all struggle this season while Daniel Sturridge has spent most of the time out injured.

Colombian international Bacca is believed to be available for around £18 million, but Liverpool could have a fight on their hands with Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino also thought to be a huge admirer of the 28-year-old after having given up on Roberto Soldado and losing patience with Emmanuel Adebayor.
