French international midfielder Paul Pogba will not be sold according to Juventus general director Giuseppe Marotta despite interest from a host of clubs that include Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City.

United were leading the pack putting together a £77 million package that would have brought the 21-year-old back to Old Trafford.

“Every European club is watching him and been in contact,” Marotta said.

“However, we want to have a strong team made up of champions. We have an important player in Pogba and we don’t have a need to sell him.”

“What was a promising player has become a reality,” Marotta added on Sky Italia.

When speaking to Italian television station RAI Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola said: “He is one of the most expensive players on the market,”

Raiola added: “Considering his age, he has room for improvement and he is among the best.”
