Kaka Heading To Man Utd?

Manchester United have been offered the chance to sign Brazilian playmaker Kaka on a season-long loan deal, according to the Daily Mail.

Real Madrid are keen to offload the former World Player of the Year  in order to make room for Luka Modric, and have been trying the generate interest in him from some of Europe’s top clubs.

So far, the only firm interest has come from Galatasaray and Kaka’s former club AC Milan, but the Mail claim the Brazilian would be keen on a move to Old Trafford.

Sir Alex Ferguson is believed to be giving the opportunity some serious thought, but is reluctant to push ahead with the move due to fears over the 30-year-old’s fitness after an injury-plagued last 18 months.

Kaka was an unused substitute on Sunday as Madrid began the defence of their La Liga title with a 1-1 draw against Valencia at the Bernabeu, and he has also lost his place in the Brazil squad.

Competition for a starting spot is fierce at Madrid, with the likes of Alonso, Diarra, de Maria, Ozil, Khedira all ahead of him in the pecking order, and the imminent arrival of Modric would further dent his first team chances.

Madrid were initially reluctant to allow Kaka to leave for a champions league rival such as United, but getting his £200,000+ per week wages off the books has made the Spanish giants think otherwise.
