JUVENTUS director general Beppe Morotta has hinted that the price for Arsenal front man Robin Van Persie could be too high for the Italian club.
Robin Van Persie would be a transfer dream for the Italian club and they have shown their interest in the player offering a Arsenal £20m for the player.
But according to Italian website, Gazzetta.it, Moratta today hinted that he is out of the Italian club’s grasp.
He said: “It’s necessary to always have dreams and ambitions, but at the same time you also have to contend with the reality of everyday facts.
“We’re relaxed and we know what we have to do. This is the most important thing.”
The Italians are locked in a battle with Manchester duo City and United for the wantaway Gunners captain, but believe they hold the advantage due to the player’s desire not to play for another club in England.
As well as matching Arsenal’s asking price, Juventus has offered Robin Van Persie a staggering £190,000 a week salary after tax.
But Moratta has now hinted all this might not be enough.
