Italian Serie A champions Juventus have now entered the race along with Chelsea and Manchester United for Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi.

Chelsea has lined up the 21-year-old as a replacement for club legend Didier Drogba who is expected to become part of the Blues coaching staff at the end of the season, while at the same time French striker Loic Remy could be moved on after a disappointing season at Stamford Bridge.

Meanwhile Manchester United were said to be interested in hijacking the deal as they send Radamel Falcao back to Monaco and realize that age is catching up with Robin van Persie.

Reports out of Spain today suggest that Juventus will also try and sign the Argentinian who has scored 15 goals so far this season, placing him second behind Carlos Tevez as the league’s leading scorer.

Inter has placed a £30 million price tag on the youngsters head and, according to reports earlier the San Siro club has already started looking for his replacement as they languish mid-table knowing that they will not qualify for Europe next season.
