Jose Mourinho is starting to sound like Mario Balotelli

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is starting to sound a lot like Mario Balotelli, but instead of “why always me”, its “why is everyone picking on Chelsea.”

It is fair to say that Mourinho has in many occasions had the right to feel hard done by, but his constant complaining about referee’s decisions going against his side, while now being careful of the words he uses to describe what he considers to be a campaign not only by referee’s, but also the media against his team could have a negative effect and actually backfire against Chelsea.

As if things were not bad enough the game against Burnley at Stamford Bridge on Saturday saw Chelsea denied what was to everyone watching two clear penalties in the first-half alone.

Then we saw what could have been a leg-breaking tackle by Ashley Barnes go unpunished, yet Nemanja Matic was sent off for retaliating and will now face a three-match ban missing the Capital One Cup final next weekend against Tottenham at Wembley.

During his press conference after the match Mourinho refused to discuss the incidents, but just said the exact minute of each decision he did not agree with.

Now to make matters worse for the Portuguese manager he gave an in depth interview to Sky Sports show Goals on Sunday, admitting he might be punished by the FA for what he had to say and could very well miss the final against Spurs.

What Mourinho has achieved is to install a siege mentality at the club, where it is us or them, and with all the extra scrutiny he has now put on the men refereeing the Chelsea matches he could well have shot himself in the foot, with no referee wanting to be seen bowing down to the pressure he is putting on them which could lead to more decisions not going Chelsea’s way do to Mourinho’s accusations.

There is no doubting Mourinho’s credentials however we feel he might have got more justice for Chelsea if he had gone about things a different way.
