According to German national team manager Joachim Low, only one club in Germany can stop Bayern Munich from running away with the Bundesliga title, and that team is of course Borussia Dortmund.

Bayer had a record breaking season last year easily winning the Bundesliga, and defeating Dortmund in the final of the Champions League at Wembley Stadium in London.

Now with former Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola in charge the champions lost to Jürgen Klopp’s men in the German Super Cup which is why Low feels that BVB could give them a run for their money

“BVB are the only club strong enough to defy Bayern,” Low told Bild am Sonntag, and even though Schalke and Stuttgart have good teams the only team that has a real chance is die Schwarzgelben said the 53-year-old coach.

Low also thinks that Guardiola is more than capable of meeting the challenge saying:

“He has clear ideas, a clear playing philosophy and he will bring that to Bayern.”

“Guardiola will cope with the pressure. He was the coach of Barcelona and expectations do not get any higher than at that club.”

Even though the two top German sides dominated in Europe last season Low thinks it is not the beginning of German dominance in European football adding:

“It would be naive to believe that German clubs are now the most dominant in Europe.”
