Inter Milan sporting director Piero Ausilio has talked down speculation the Italian club is interested in making a move for Bacary Sagna in the summer.

Sagna’s contract with Arsenal expires at the end of the season, with the club fearing he will not accept the new deal that has been offered to him.

Milan was thought to be monitoring the situation at the Emirates looking for an opportunity to bring him to the San Siro.

So far Inter have already signed Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic, and despite Ausilio having made several trips to England in recent weeks the Italian has rubbished reports that he is after Sagna or any other players according to the London Standard.

When asked about his interest in Sagna, Ausilio said: “There’s no connection with my trips and the same is for [Edin] Dzeko.

“There is the opportunity to travel when we don’t have matches during the week. It’s an opportunity to develop contacts by being around other people in the industry.”
