It only took returning forward Theo Walcott less than two minutes to score the Gunners first goal against Brighton yesterday before telling the rest of the Premier League teams still in the completion to forget about winning the FA Cup as it belonged to Arsenal.

Following Manchester United’s draw with Cambridge United and Liverpool’s draw with Bolton Wanderers, Arsenal is now only one of six Premier League teams that will go into the fifth-round draw of the FA Cup.

“As defending champions it is our cup at the moment,” Walcott reminded everyone while speaking to the Daily Express. “All those teams going out means it is a massive opportunity.

“We believe with the team we have and the players coming back from fitness we can beat anyone. It is a competition for places now.

“It is nice to go through because it was very tough today and it has been a while since I last scored. It has been a whole year, people will expect me to score every game now but it is not going to happen overnight. It is about building up fitness.”
