BRAZILIAN wonderkid Oscar has proved he is worth his £25million Chelsea transfer fee.

Golden Oscar, New Blues star is pure Hollywood

That is the verdict of keeper Petr Cech after the attacking midfielder scored both goals in Wednesday’s 2-2 Champions League draw with Juventus.

The second, struck on the turn from the edge of the penalty area, is being described as one of the best ever at Stamford Bridge.

Cech insists this is just the start for the 21-year-old playmaker, who arrived from Brazilian club Internacional during the summer.

The keeper said: “Oscar has a big price tag on him for a young guy and that’s an extra pressure.

“It’s great that everyone has seen that performance from him and they will quickly realise he is good value.

“He’s settled in quickly and you can see he’s really worth the money.”

Cech’s excitement is shared by midfielder John Obi Mikel. He said: “We have seen him in training smashing in balls like that so it was a matter of time before he did it in a match.”

Yet while everyone at Stamford Bridge is delighted with Oscar’s impact, they are not so pleased about throwing away a two-goal lead.

Cech said: “We went 2-0 up and then we attacked too much when we should have slowed the game down.”
