Manchester United’s owners the Florida based Glazer family is promising to spend huge amounts of money in order to raise the value of the club to £3 billion putting them on par to compete with the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona when it comes to signing the world’s best players.

On the prospectus sent out by Edward Glazer there was the mention of marquee signings for manager Louis van Gaal with recent speculation in the press that the club may try and sign Gareth Bale from Real Madrid for £90 million.

It would appear that the United boardroom has come to the conclusion that it is now the age of the Galatico clubs meaning that no player should be considered too expensive as they ready plans to sign the likes of Bayern Munich’s Thomas Muller, Roma’s Kevin Strootman and Borussia Dortmund’s Mats Hummels.

With added big names coming to Old Trafford and future success on the field, a Glazer family insider indicated that a £3 billion valuation was not out of the question.
