Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard will keep his number eight shirt when he moves to the LA Galaxy next summer, with his debut game set for July 17th when his new club take on the San Jose Earthquakes at the Stubhub Center.
Gerrard is however still at Liverpool and will play his last ever Liverpool derby when the Reds travel across Stanley Park to play Everton on Saturday.
The 34-year-old midfielder scored the last time the two clubs met at Anfield in September in a share of the spoils with the match finishing 1-1 and will be looking to add to his tally on Saturday evening.
Liverpool is in fine form winning 2-0 against West Ham last weekend to make it seven unbeaten matches in a row.
