Kurt Zouma

St-Etienne defender Kurt Zouma is almost certain to join a top European club this month with Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United all interested in the 6ft 3in defender.

The 19-year-old has represented France at all levels and has current national team coach Didier Deschamps describing him as a future captain of the country’s senior team.

The St-Etienne player is currently serving a 10-match ban for a horrific tackle but it is unlikely to put any of his suitors off as despite being young he has already made 51 appearances for his club and has scored four goals.

According to reports coming out of Italy his agent David Venditelli has said that it is between three clubs as to whom he will sign for:

‘It’s a three-horse race between Inter, Chelsea and Monaco. Serie A is an interesting destination, as are Inter, for the tactical growth of the lad’, Venditelli is quoted.

‘Of course he wouldn’t mind moving to the Premier League, hopefully to Chelsea, where he could work with Jose Mourinho or to Monaco in Ligue 1’.

This may come as a bit of a shock to David Moyes at Manchester United as he knows he needs to start looking for people to replace Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic.
