French international striker Loic Remy is desperate to join the Gunners as manager Arsene Wenger considers his striker options knowing he must sign at least one if not two front men this summer according to the Daily Mirror.

Remy has a buyout clause of £10 million with Queens Park Rangers and is hoping that Arsenal will make him the first of their summer signings before any other club moves in with an offer.

Wenger also seems keen on the 27-year-old and is confident Arsenal can beat off offers from other clubs for a striker that has already proved himself in the Premier League while on loan at Newcastle United last season.

Wenger is also looking for a right-back and a holding midfielder with interest in Toulouse’s Serge Aurier cooling in recent days.

The Gunner also need a backup keeper for Wojciech Szczesny having had an offer for Cardiff City’s David Marshall knocked back leading to the possibility of John Ruddy or Alex McCarthy moving to the Emirates.
