Van Persie is looking for the exit sign at Old Trafford

It would appear that former Arsenal striker Robin van Persie is no longer happy with the way things are working under David Moyes at Old Trafford and is trying to find a way that will see him leave Manchester United.

The Daily Star is reporting that Moyes has told friends in private that he is worried about van Persie’s contribution to the team.

During his first season at the club under Sir Alex Ferguson the Dutch striker could do no wrong, but this season under Moyes he has looked a shadow of his former self which in part can be put down to injuries.

Talk of him wanting to leave the Northwest club will just not go away even though Moyes on several occasions has said that there are no problems between the two of them.

Everything is pointing to a major clear out of players in the summer as Moyes looks to put his stamp on the team with it looking that van Persie may not be a part of the Scots plans.

Wayne Rooney has once again emerged as United’s main striker with van Persie and him failing to find any chemistry in a strike partnership as is evident from the pair’s body language out on the pitch.

Following United’s loss to Greek side Olympiakos in the Champions League van Persie after the match blamed his fellow United players for getting in his way, hardly something you should be saying about your fellow teammates.

United failed to punish the Dutchman for his remarks but do not be surprised if you see him moving clubs in the summer.
