ALEX FERGUSON fears another demolition derby — thanks to his team’s dreadful defending.

Manchester United lost 1-0 in the Premier League at the Etihad last season but were hammered 6-1 at Old Trafford.

And after watching his team concede three goals at Reading on Saturday, Fergie believes the scoreline could again take on nightmare proportions.

Ferguson said: “If we perform like that on Sunday, then God knows what’s going to happen to us.

“It’s a worry, it’s a concern, there’s no question about that.

“I can’t ever remember us conceding so many goals before Christmas.

“When you look at the side City could put out — Balotelli, Dzeko, all really tall players, it will be a big challenge.

“Roberto Mancini and I will have to think deeply about our selection and tactics.”

United take on Cluj tonight with their progress into the next round of the Champions League already guaranteed with top spot in Group H.
