PATRICE EVRA says his team could face a Transylvanian horror unless they get their “Man United face” back on quickly.

Evra: “We’ve lost face”

The Red Devils head for Romania today on the back of a shock home loss against Spurs.

Now they face a key week with FC Cluj in the Champions League tomorrow followed by a tough trip to Newcastle on Sunday.

And Evra warns his team-mates they have a problem in their heads which needs to be put right quickly after losing for the second time in six league matches.

He said: “We put on the Man United face only in the second half against Spurs and this is not enough if we’re to win the title.

“We must make sure in the Champions League and away at Newcastle we are back to the winning mentality we showed in the second half.

“That’s why I say the problem was inside our heads. It was not tactics, it was not tiredness.

“You don’t play a second half like that then make an excuse that you are tired. It’s just about your head, we didn’t start well in that game.”

The stand-in United skipper pulled no punches with his assessment of the first six weeks this season.

He added: “Two defeats is too much if you want to win the title. But we must try to be positive as well.

“We won at Anfield when they played much better than us. We must forget that first half against Spurs.

“I hope it was just an accident.

“We were not good enough in the first half and that is what is painful.”

Boss Alex Ferguson took some consolation from the way his team stormed back in the second half.

A famous United turnaround looked to be on the cards but

Clint Dempsey’s goal for 3-1 was too much to turn around.

Evra added: “If you want to talk about the positives then let’s make sure we play the way we did in the second half.

“If we do it’ll be tough for anyone to beat us.”
