Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk winger Yevhen Konoplyanka nearly joined Liverpool a year ago, and despite Reds managing director Ian Ayre spending nearly a week in the Ukraine trying to get a deal done it all fell apart in the end.

Now with his contract due to finish in the summer Everton is looking to make a cut-price move for the 25-year-old with the Toffee’s boss Roberto Martinez seeing him as a replacement for Kevin Mirallas who is currently in the bad books after taking and missing a penalty ahead of regular spot-kick taker Leighton Baines in the goalless draw with West Brom.

Everton however is not the only club looking at the Ukrainian international with AS Roma and Tottenham also considering making a bid.
