Liverpool has made their biggest signing of the summer so far, bagging Hoffenheim striker Roberto Firmino for a cool £21 million.

The Brazilian international striker is currently on international duty competing in the Copa America in Chile.

Liverpool chief executive Ian Ayre flew to South America to seal the deal which is still subject to a medical that will take place once the Copa America is concluded.

The former Figueirense man can play anywhere across the front line, but is expected to play out left with Adam Lallana out right and Daniel Sturridge in the centre of the park.

Liverpool appear not to be finished with their summer spending after having already signed Danny Ings, Adam Bodgan, Joe Gomez and James Milner as they look to bounce back from what was a disappointing season.

Check out his goal for Brazil against Venezuela last Sunday in the video below, as it is exactly the type of finishing Liverpool lacked last season.
