Please help Cristiano to be happy again
By Mark Finlay
I feel so bad for poor Cristiano Ronaldo and the horrible life he has as a professional footballer.

I mean it must be awful being in the spot light all the time playing for one of the biggest teams on the planet.

I know he must find it very difficult learning to budget and live on the $15 million dollars a year that he gets paid for being so skilful with a ball, and yes he can run fast also, not as fast as Usain Bolt, but very fast none the less.

Then there are all the expensive woman that he has to entertain, and take out for dinner they can cost you a pretty penny too just look at his current girlfriend Russian model Irina Shayk girls like her do not come cheap!

Plus she wants to start her own jewellery collection how much is that going to cost poor Cristiano?

What gets me the most though is that he is the best footballer in the world, scoring more goals than Messi who for some reason everyone likes?

I still can’t understand how Inesta won the football player of the year award while Ronaldo scored far more goals than he did.

I tell you why it must be prejudice everyone like’s Spain, Spain is so good and Inesta is Spanish, and Cristiano is Portuguese that’s why he did not win.

Then can you believe you have these old farts like Samuel Eto, and Zlatan Ibramovich making more money than the much prettier Cristiano even that fat boy with the funny hair over at Manchester United gets paid more than Cristiano.

When asked by reporters in Argentina where he is preparing for his country’s match against Paraguay why Cristiano is so sad Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi said: “I don’t have to answer this kind of questions. You shouldn’t ask me about Cristiano. It has nothing to do with me and I shouldn’t be answering questions about it.”

While home alone trying to express such deep feeling of sadness, and of how unhappy he is Cristiano or should I say @cristiano was busy trying to express his inner feelings in less than the twitter allowed 140 characters.

After hours of careful thought, and numerous drafts the 27-year-old was ready to tell the world how he felt tweeting: “I am feeling sad and have expressed this sadness has created a huge stir,”

“I am accused of wanting more money, but one day it will be shown that this is not the case.”

“I just want to guarantee to the Real Madrid fans that my motivation, dedication, commitment and desire to win all competitions will not be affected,” he added.

“I have too much respect for myself and for Real Madrid to ever give less to the club than all I am capable of.”

Alvaro Arbeloa Ronaldo’s team mate said the team had no idea their best goal scorer was unhappy.

“I don’t know what’s up with Cristiano. It was a surprise for us as much as for you. We found out after the game,” the fullback told the press as he joined up with the Spain squad.

“At Madrid, we are a family and we will support him in any way he needs, just as we would do with Mesut Ozil, Michael Essien or whoever.

“It’s true that Cristiano, like most of us, doesn’t have the problems that many Spaniards have, but he will have his reasons for not being at his best and this is reasonable.

“I have never heard him talk about money, a longer deal, or wanting to go. I think he’ll be here for many years.

“There has been too much made of his words. Maybe he needs more affection from everyone, I don’t know, but if that is it, he will receive it from us.”

Perhaps we the fans can help by each putting a dollar, pound, or Euro in an envelope, and posting it off to poor Cristiano we know he has a tough life, and deserves all the help we can give him.

By donating just a little bit of money that we will never miss could go a long way in making one of the world’s highest paid athletes happy again.
