CLINT DEMPSEY has edged closer to the Fulham exit door by missing their pre-season trip to Switzerland.
The £10million-rated American has been linked with Liverpool and appears keen to leave Craven Cottage.
He did not jet out with the rest of Martin Jol’s squad yesterday and will sit out their Swiss training camp and a friendly against Nice on Saturday.
Fulham boss Jol, who insists Dempsey is not yet ready to play, will not let him leave cheaply but risks losing last season’s top scorer for nothing when his contract runs out next year.
