Chelsea playmaker Cesc Fabregas has played down a recent visit to the Colony Club, an exclusive casino located in London’s posh Mayfair district, after having been photographed leaving with Lionel Messi and the pairs girlfriends.

When asked about the casino visit, and why Messi was in London with rumours linking to a £200 million summer move to Stamford Bridge, the Spaniard brushed aside questions saying: “It’s my private life.”

“I do what I feel makes me happy. I have nothing to say about any picture with any person away from football.”

It could be that the 27-year-old likes a bit of a flutter after also being photographed with Messi and former Barcelona teammate Gerard Pique leaving a casino just before Barcelona’s Champions League clash with Manchester City back in February.

Tonight Fabregas and his Chelsea team takes on Paris Saint-Germain in the second leg of their Champions League last 16-match after the Blues managed a 1-1 draw at the Parc des Princes in the first leg.
