Chelsea leads the race to sign Spanish World Cup winner

Now that Barcelona has signed Chelsea target Arda Turan Blues boss Jose Mourinho is considering making a move for Barcelona forward Pedro Rodriguez according to Fichajes.net.

Mourinho is a big fan of the hard working 27-year-old Spanish international who has achieved success at all levels of the game, winning both the Champions League and the World Cup.

Despite interest from Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United, Barcelona were reluctant to let Pedro leave the Nou Camp, even with the Canary Islander complaining about the lack of playing time following the arrival of Neymar and Luis Suarez to the team.

This then led to his agent saying that his client had instructed him to find a club where he would be allowed to play each week.

Now with the arrival of Turkish international midfielder Turan at the club, there is no reason not to let Pedro leave and join his former teammate Cesc Fabregas at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea will be looking to pay around £15 million for Pedro, but could be forced to pay more if other Premiership sides rekindle their interest in the winger.
