The hot rumour was that Chelsea were interested in doing a player plus cash deal for Antoine Griezmann, and while talk of that move has cooled the Guardian says that Chelsea have been offered Manchester United target Arda Turan who is rated at £29 million.
It would be hard for Jose Mourinho to pass up the chance to sign the Turkish national team captain, and just the thought of him playing in a team that already has his La Liga winning teammates Diego Costa and Radamel Falcao has to be an appealing thought for Chelsea fans.
The arrival of the 28-year-old would also probably signal the departure of a current Chelsea player to the Vicente Calderon, with both Juan Cuadrado and Filippe Luis possible candidates to be shipped out.
