In what could prove to be exciting news for Chelsea as it could coincide with the Blues signing another Atletico star, Chelsea left-back Filipe Luis looks set to return to his former club after spending most of last season on the bench at Stamford Bridge.
Spanish sports daily AS is reporting that Atletico Madrid would be happy to take the Brazilian back and quote trainer Diego Simeone as saying work is progressing on that front.
“He’s a player we’re very fond of and he knows us well and gave so much to the team,” boss Diego Simeone said. “I hope this one comes off.”
We’ll have to wait and see if they can do a deal.
