Arsenal’s Spanish midfielder Santi Cazorla is on his way to becoming the Gunners player of the season and possibly the PFA’s choice for Player of the Years, and if his stats are anything to go by he is at his best from 12-yards out.

The little Spaniard scored his six penalty from six attempts at the weekend against Crystal Palace to become the deadliest penalty taker in the Premier League.

No other player can match Cazorla’s single handed tally, but Manchester City has also scored six penalties between both Sergio Aguero and Yaya Toure.

The former Villarreal and Malaga man may have even had one more to his score sheet if it were not for Alexis Sanchez’s effort against QPR back in December that was saved by keeper Rob Green.

The 30-year-old needs just one more spot kick this season to equal Thierry Henrys record of seven penalties in a season that he racked up in 2003/2004.

The record for the most penalties in a single season belongs to Crystal Palaces Andy Johnson who scored 11 for the Eagles back in the 2004/2005 season.
