Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke will undergo his Liverpool medical this afternoon in London to complete his £32.5 million signing for the Merseyside club.

Liverpool agreed to pay Aston Villa the amount they were asking last week for the 25-year-old making him the clubs second most expensive signing after the £35 million Liverpool paid Newcastle United for Andy Carroll.

Meanwhile the medical is set to take place over two days, and if all goes to plan Liverpool’s new striker can meet up with fellow new signing Roberto Firmino at Melwood on Wednesday.
