liverpool,

Jorge Jesus manager of Portuguese club Benfica has confirmed that Liverpool is showing interest in the clubs £25 million rated striker Rodrigo Moreno, as well as the fact that scouts from Manchester United and Chelsea have also been following the 23-year-old.

When asked specifically about Liverpool’s interest in his player Jesus told the Daily Mail: ‘It’s normal. Every Benfica player is in a big window.

‘The league is full of high quality players so it’s normal for other clubs to be interested.

‘Rodrigo is going through a good moment.’

Rodrigo had a lacklustre spell when on loan at Bolton Wanderers as a 17-year-old but that has not put off the big clubs who are once again showing interest.

This attention from the Premiership will force Rodrigo into talks with Benfica at the end of the season according to his father agent.

‘I expect to meet the club at the end of the season,’ Adalberto Machado told TMW.

‘We want the best for the player and for the club, but at the moment Rodrigo is only concentrating on Benfica and winning titles at the end of the season.’
