Blackburn winger Junior Hoilett is being targeted by Bayern Munich and Borussia Monchengladbach.

Bayern to rival Arsenal for Hoilett signature as race for starlet hots up

The 21-year-old Canada international is out of contract and has attention from Arsenal, Tottenham, Stoke, Everton and Sunderland.

But his representatives are understood to have travelled to Germany for talks on Tuesday after Blackburn’s relegation from the Premier League.

Bayern are keen to recruit young talent similar to that of former Tranmere starlet Dale Jennings while Monchengladbach are investing heavily after qualifying for Europe.

Hamburg have re-iterated their desire to speak to Liverpool’s Dirk Kuyt, who looks likely to leave Anfield this summer.

Hamburg chairman Carl-Edgar Jarchow said: ‘We have to sit down with the player and his agent. Until now there have been no negotiations.’
