Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has said that he thinks 25-year-old striker Thomas Muller will “never” leave the club.

Reports today in a German daily tabloid suggest that Manchester United is about to blow their entire remaining summer transfer budget of £70.7 million on the German international, but Rummenigge told Sport Bild he’s confident he will stay at the club for a long time.

“Thomas is unsellable. I have a feeling that he’ll never leave Bayern Munich.

“When Thomas retires at some point, we hope that we can keep him at the club, if he wants.”
