Barcelona youngster Sergi Samper is sat waiting for Gunners boss Arsene Wenger to come and get him according to reports.

The 20-year-old defensive midfielder is finding it difficult to get ahead at the Nou Camp, and is yet to break into trainer Luis Enrique’s first team, leading him to start weighing up his options as to whether or not he would be better moving to another club.

And according to Fichajes, one option would be to follow in Cesc Fabregas’s footsteps and leave the Catalan giants for Arsenal.

Samper has been at Barcelona’s famous La Masia academy since the age of six, and with a release clause of just £8.5 million could prove to be an exceptional player for Arsenal who could make a move for him as early as January.
