Chelsea, Liverpool

Without even an offer yet being made by Barcelona for Liverpool star striker Luis Suarez the Daily Star is claiming that the Catalan giants have a Plan B in place which will see them turn their attention to Chelsea’s Eden Hazard.

The future of the Belgium international at Stamford Bridge was up in the air at the end of last season after manager Jose Mourinho accused him of not being a team player in their Champions League semi-final defeat to Atletico Madrid.

Since then there has been plenty of speculation linking Hazard to French champions Paris Saint-Germain, yet Hazard has insisted at least for next season he will remain at Chelsea.

Barcelona is said to be willing to pay Liverpool offer £56m plus Chilean striker Alexis Sanchez in an attempt to lure Suarez to Spain yet it could prove to not be enough money for the Reds and manager Brendan Rodgers who will do all he can to keep Suarez at Anfield.

Likewise should Barca’s bid for Suarez fail Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is under no pressure to sell players as he rebuilds a Chelsea side that he hope will win the Premiership next season.
