Bale

Spanish newspaper MARCA’s story of Gareth Bale asking for a transfer request did not take long to reach Hong Kong where Spurs are currently on tour.

Tottenham manager Andres Villas-Boas continues to claim the Welsh winger is going nowhere you it is starting to sound like hollow words.

A may just be a coincidence but ever since Bale met with Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy last week and told him that he wanted to leave he has not featured in any game.

AVB said: “It seems like he twisted his ankle, it could be sprained ankle ligaments,” said Villas-Boas. “Hopefully there is not too much damage as he has a good range of movement still, but it is swollen a bit. We hope it is nothing very serious, the MRI scan is positive and he’ll be back for the start of the season.”

Bales agent Jonathan Barnett would love to see his client move to the Bernabéu, and has already supposedly had secret discussions with Real Madrid President Florentino Perez over a deal for his client.

Perez is currently trying to put together a repeat of the team that was called the Galacticos and included Zinedine Zidane, Luis Figo, Ronaldo and Roberto Carlos.

Bale is being seduced by Real Madrid’s history and the project that Perez is working on making it only a matter of time before the move to Spain becomes a reality, and listening to AVB lately I think it will be sooner rather than later.
