Arsenal, Atletico Madrid

La Liga champions Atletico Madrid are according to the Daily Express prepared to sell Arda Turan to Manchester United, Liverpool or Chelsea in order to raise funds to enable them to go after Arsenal’s Santi Cazorla.

Atletico remain eager to see Cazorla move from the Emirates to the Vicente Calderon this summer but know they must sell a player in order to raise funds for the deal despite the fact they have just sold top striker Diego Costa to Chelsea.

All reports out of the Spanish capital are pointing at Turan who has a release clause of £33 million but is known to be coveted by several Premiership clubs.

Atletico may have to make a slight compromise on their value of the Turkish international, but know that £18 million should be enough to see Cazorla jump ship and return to Spain.

Turan’s agent earlier this summer hinted that there had been an enquiry from the Premiership thought to be Manchester United, and should Atletico decide to go through with a move for Cazorla we would not be surprised to see United at the head of the queue.
