According to news coming out of Spain Arsenal will make a move for in-form Cologne striker Anthony Modeste in January.
The 27-year-old Frenchman has set the Bundesliga on fire this season scoring six goals in nine matches which has Espiritu Deportivo saying that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger knows about him from Ligue 1 in France where he played for Nice and Bordeaux and is now ready to bring him to the Emirates in January.
And while big name transfer targets like Karim Benzema and Edinson Cavani have both been liked with a move to the Gunners, a player like the 6ft 1in Modeste, who also by the way spent a season on loan with Blackburn Rovers would be a signing right out of Wenger’s play book.
