Turkish club Trabzonspor have emerged as the leaders to sign Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira, with sources in Istanbul suggesting the Super Liga outfit is preparing to offer the German international a massive deal when his contract expires at the end of the season.
Despite the fact that Luca Modric and Toni Kroos appear to be trainer Carlo Ancelotti’s favourites Khedira would be willing to extend his current contract with the Spanish giants.
Saying just last month: “I’d be happy if we found a solution to the contract situation.
“I’m in good shape again and so I’m very confident that I’m going to get my chances to play very soon.
“I’m a fan of fierce competition.”
Top Premier League sides have all been following Khedira’s situation in Madrid, but none appear ready to make a move before Mondays transfer deadline.
