Arsenal is preparing to go up against the likes of Chelsea and Manchester City in order to bring former Manchester United youngster Paul Pogba back to the Premiership according to the Daily Express.

Reports suggest that Manchester City has identified the Juventus player as the man to take over from the aging Yaya Torre, and the Northwest side think that they now have their financial fair play concerns under control and would be ready to sign the 21-year-old central midfielder.

Pogba signed a new deal with the Turin giants earlier in the season committing his future to the Old Lady, which means that Juventus will be looking for offers in the £40 million ballpark even to consider letting him leave.

The Express claim that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is also ready to sign the French youngster should there be any indication that the Italians would be willing to sell.

Wenger is a huge admirer of his countryman and with the Gunners new financial firepower is exactly the type of talent Wenger would like to bring to the Emirates.

What remains to be seen now is whether or not Arsenal is ready to compete with Qatar backed City for Pogba, not ruling out Chelsea or Manchester United who also have shown interest in one of Europe’s most exciting prospects.
