Arsenal have been handed massive injury boost as Jack Wilshere finally kicked a ball for the first time since June. The high rated English midfielder played for Arsenal’s under 21s against Newcastle yesterday. The 4-0 win over Aston Villa in the FA Cup win was the last time Wilshere played for Arsenal. He was injured just before the start of the current but could not be instrucmental to Arsenal’s title challenge with just seven goals remaining for the Gunners to play.
Wilshere has in recent time been in the news for the wrong reasons as news emerged he was involved in a night club fracas which according to reports have attracted a fine from the club though Wenger has come out to strongly defend the high rated midfielder.
Although he is certainly out of this weekend’s clash against West Ham, but could be in line to play his first competitive for Arsenal when the Gunners take on West Brom Thursday next week.
Arsenal are currently without Aaron Ramsey, Santi Cazorla and Mikel Arteta alongside Wilshere. Although Wenger has confirmed Ramsey could be in like to play for Arsenal today against West Ham.
Arsenal need to beat in form West ham today if they are to win the league. With Leicester currently 11 points ahead of Arsenal, failure to beat the Hammers today would make the end of Arsenal’s title challenge.
