Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has revealed he is ready to spend big in order to improve his Emirates Stadium squad according to the Daily Mail.

The Gunners boss is ready to invest a large sum in order to bring in two new players as he pursues a top four spot and a crucial Champions League berth. Wenger is ready to make the most of Arsenal’s healthy financial status in order to make some much needed additions to his squad.

Wenger claims Arsenal are in the market to improve their squad during the January transfer window but only if they can players of sufficient quality.

With Arsenal signing new commercial deals and with cash in reserve Wenger insists he’ll be able to invest heavily in the playing staff.

‘My plan is to keep all of the players we have and then to add maybe, if possible, two new players to the squad. We will spend big (again) because we had restricted finances because we had built the stadium and had to pay that back,’

‘You look at any club who has done that, and they have gone down (in performance). We stayed at the top level, yes without winning the Premier League, but we were always at the top level. Now we have come out in a much stronger position financially again, so we can spend.’

‘But our way is a bit like Barcelona as well, to produce the core of the team from inside and add from outside the players who give really a plus.’

So which two players would Arsenal fans like to see Wenger attract to the North London club?
