£35m La Liga Striker could be heading for the Premiership

According to Spanish daily Sport, Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema could be on his way out the Santiago Bernabeu if new trainer Rafa Benitez has his way and brings in Fernando Llorente from Juventus.

Benitez has asked the Real Madrid hierarchy to let he make a move for the 30-year-old Spaniard, and while they may not be keen on the idea, they do not want to appear as though they are telling Benitez what to do before he even has his first season in charge.

If Llorente does arrive in Madrid it could spell problems for the 27-year-old French international when he finds himself on the bench.

Ronaldo, Bale and home-grown Jese are not going anywhere, which means that if any player is to be sacrificed it would be Benzema.

Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool are all still in the hunt for a quality striker, and could all put bids in for the former Lyon attacker should Real Madrid decide to sell.
