ROBERTO MANCINI was still moaning after Manchester City’s £52m transfer-window splash.

Mancini's £52m moan City, He's 'frustrated' - after signing Garcia, Sinclair, Nastasic

City landed £16m Javi Garcia, £12m Matija Nastasic, £6m Scott Sinclair and £3m Maicon yesterday to go with earlier £15m buy Jack Rodwell.

But boss Mancini admitted the champions failed to secure any of his first-choice targets — missing out on Robin van Persie, Eden Hazard, Javi Martinez and Daniele De Rossi.

Mancini said: “I was frustrated, as it is difficult to do everything in one week or 10 days.

“When you finish the season, you have a meeting with the club. You talk about players but sometimes it is not possible to take all the players you want.

“You should have a different choice. But getting these players we have bought, I am happy.”

Mancini has spent most of the summer criticising City’s football administrator Brian Marwood over the failure to bring in the men at the top of his list.

In the end, Arsenal’s Van Persie ended up at Manchester United for £22m, Hazard joined Chelsea in a £32m deal from Lille, Martinez completed a £32m move from Athletic Bilbao to Bayern Munich and De Rossi opted to stay at Roma.

City captured Benfica’s defensive midfielder Garcia, 25, in the last hour before the window closed at 11pm. He will replace Nigel de Jong, who has gone to AC Milan for £5m.

Serbia defender Nastasic, 19, tagged the ‘new Nemanja Vidic’, has arrived from Fiorentina, while wideman Sinclair, 23, finally signed from Swansea and Brazilian full-back Maicon, 31, moved from Inter Milan.

City also snapped up ex-England keeper Richard Wright, 34, on a free.
