Being a Liverpool fan myself, I have to be honest and say that the jury was out on the arrival of Danny Ings from Burnley, I mean how good could he be if the Reds were able to pick him up on a free transfer?

Watching the 22-year-old in his first match in a Red Shirt against the Thai All-Stars, you could see on his face how disappointed he was having his first goal in a Red Shirt disallowed, but that was short lived after just a week later he slipped the ball under Adelaide goalkeeper Eugene Galekovic with the cool finish of a seasoned pro.

Ings running off the ball and his timing via being offside was spot on, so we have high hopes that the striker Liverpool picked up for a bargain price is going to deliver the goals the Reds so sorely missed last season.

Check out the goal below and see if you think Ings can be a Liverpool star.
