ROBIN VAN PERSIE has set his sights on marking his brilliant first season at Manchester United by winning the Double.
The last time the Red Devils lifted the league and FA Cup in the same season was when they famously scooped the Treble back in 1999.
Van Persie, who left Arsenal last summer in a bid to win silverware, said: “We want the Double.
“It has been a while since we won it, so it’s important.”
If United can beat Chelsea in their cup quarter-final replay at Stamford Bridge today then they will fancy their chances of ending that 14-year wait.
Van Persie added: “Now we have done the job at Sunderland, we are getting very close in the league.
“And we have a big chance of reaching the semi-final of the Cup against City.
“Chelsea will be a big test but I am confident we will get the result.”
