Manchester United will face stiff competition from Real Madrid in their efforts to sign German midfield ace Christoph Kramer.

The German media has been ripe with talk of Manchester United’s interest in the Mönchengladbach star, and is now according to talkSPORT are claiming that Spanish giants Real Madrid are also interested in the 23-year-old after manager Carlo Ancelotti has seen Luka Modric, Sami Khedira and James Rodríguez all bow out through injury.

Mönchengladbach value Kramer at around £8 million a figure both Real Madrid and Manchester United could easily afford once the January transfer window opens.
