Manchester United send scouts to watch talented Serb after learning of Chelsea’s interest

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has reportedly sent scouts to watch Super Liga club Red Star Belgrade midfielder Marko Grujic after hearing a rumour that Chelsea had already made a bid for the Serbian ace.

The 19-year-old was taking part in a U-21 international 1-1 draw with Italy in Novi Sad Friday night, that had Serbian football news outlet Hot Sport claim that scouts from Old Trafford were on hand to watch the youngster in action.

Grujic has been linked with a possible move to Chelsea in the past so it will not come as a shock to learn that they have tabled a bid believed to be in the region of 4€ million. Inter Milan as well as United are also interested in the teenager, but neither club is yet to approach Red Star over a deal.
