Manchester United have been given a massive boost in their bid to finally sign a truly world class player. According to TuttomercatoWeb ( via mirror ) Gareth Bale has rejected a contract extension offer from Real Madrid which could give Manchester United a massive chance of signing one of their long term targets and a truly world class player for that matter.

Bale who has also been linked with a move to Manchester City, PSG and Chelsea is said not to be too happy at the Santiago Bernabéu and could consider any offers that will take him away from the club. The former Tottenham player was said to be happy that he was given more important roles under Rafa Benitez but all that has now been eroded with the sack of the Spaniard as Zidane who replaced Benitez has chosen to player the Welsh international on the wings once again.

Some reports claim Bale could be used as part of the deal that will ensure they sign Chelsea’s Eden Hazard. It is however believed Bale could be enticed to sign for Manchester United as he would like to once again work under Jose Mourinho who according to reports will be United’s manager for next season.

Reportedly on a £256,000-a-week contract with Real Madrid, this wage package shouldn’t be difficult for United to pay. Knowing Real Madrid, they are certainly going to get rid of one of their big name stars this summer and bring in another big name as his replacement.

Could that player that will leave be Gareth Bale? Only time will tell.
